Why are there errors to getting the correct patent?

What format should the patent number be?
The two letter patent office code followed by the number. Upper case or lower case for letters is OK. For example:
- US patent 6,907,404 is entered as US6907404
- US patent application 10/447,493 is entered as US10/447,493
- US patent publication 2006/0093427 is entered as US20060093427
- European application EP 1 661 800 is entered as EP1661800
- WIPO publication WO 2004/057274 is entered as WO2004057274
The "/" and "," characters will usually be ignored unless its a US application number.

What is a PDF file?
It is a type of file format. PDF stands for Portable Document Format. You can download Adobe Reader for free to view PDF files.
Why limit to only 10 patent documents in Batch Download?
In most Office Actions and Search Reports received by IP professionals and patent attorneys, the examiner will usually cite less than 10 patents/applications. To avoid download abuse and maintain fair use, we have limited the maximum downloads to 10 documents in Batch Download per submission.
How come I have to wait a while for the download links to appear?
Sorry, not everything can be instantaneous. For US, Europe and PCT applications the delay should be less than 5 seconds when requesting the download of a single patent document. For other countries, the delay is longer because of high traffic congestion to Patent Offices that do not have very fast servers.
I tried to download a patent from country X but your site says that it can't be found. Why?
Sometimes particular Patent Offices do maintenance and upgrades causing interruption to their service. Please be patient or try again later. Alternatively, country X has not yet made available their patent documents for download.
Sometimes the captcha image does not display?
Please re-load the page so that it appears because sometimes it does not get downloaded the first time. You may re-load the page by pressing Ctrl-R, F5, or click the Refresh Button in your web browser.
